If somebody will be sleeping with you, bring them along.
Above all, the bed mattress needs to support your spine and should not interfere with your pressure points. This will secure your bed mattress from spills, urine and other substances that frequently cause spots on mattresses.

You don't like this much if you are like me. It looks bad and you simply don't like it.

Believe it or not, it's not that hard to make your own couch table surface, particularly if this is going to be an area that's not truly noticed or seen by those who come into the space.
You can put glossy magazines and coffee table books there also.
